I love the detail and historical accuracy of this game. The production values for this game are very high.
Only market cards, and that's ok. Some of these are more useful then others but you never know what kind of combos you can pull.

A pleasant enough time with a abstracted scale, quick enough that players can play back to back to try both sides.
The Players Aid on Youtube did a great review on this little game: they loved it too!
A triumph in minimalism and depth. Agonizing decisions with great replay-ability.
One small map, some wooden armies, and 16 unique cards; that's all you need for this short, thematic and highly replayable war game.
After reading the summary of this 2500 year old war on the back of the instruction manual, as well as the flavour text on the cards, we were fully engrossed in this game.
I loved how important historical events, like the untimely deaths of two Persian emporers during this war, give this fairly simple strategic wargame a sense of high stakes and adaptive strategizing.
Really cool little game!
